He has studied at the “Conservatori Superior Municipal de Música de Barcelona” (Spain) and at the "Hochschule für Musik" in "Würzburg" (Germany) as well.

He obtained “The Honorific Prize” related to his Superior graduate in Percussion at the C.S.M.M.B. He was also awarded with a Medal at the “Maria Canals International Competition for Musical Performance”, and he also won the "Escoles Virtèlia award” to the best Spanish music player in 1982. He has been awarded with a Prize in the “Concurs Permanent” for young music players of JJMM. Spain.

He has been member of “Percussions de Barcelona”, the Opera Theater Orchestra of the Liceu of Barcelona, and the World Orchestra of JJMM; collaborator of the “Ciutat de Barcelona” Symphony Orchestra, creator and Conductor of the Percussion octet "TABAL", associated teacher at Faculty of educational sciences of The Lleida University, soloist and invited teacher in several music courses and in courses of musical training for teachers as well. He has been member of the jury in several music competitions and competitive examinations. He has been music performer in different countries and making tours around Spain, France, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Luxembourg, Italy, Canada, U.S.A., Japan and Korea.

He has composed concert music pieces, pedagogical works and music for TV.

In 2003 he was player of the first performance of his own “Concert for Timpani and “Cobla” of 22 players, with the “coblas” Sant Jordi –Ciutat de Barcelona- and Mediterrània, This concert was commissioned by “The Joaquim Serra Memorial .He also played the first performance in Spain of The Timpani and wind orchestra Concerto of Bruchman, with ”La Lira Ampostina wind orchestra”.

He has worked as professor of percussion since 1983, and nowadays he is working as pedagogical coordinator at the “Conservatori Superior Municipal de Música” of Barcelona.

He has been teacher since 2006 at the International Music Summer Course “Principat d’Andorra”.
